  1. Hi Sune – enjoyed watching this last night. Definitely on the to do list. It reminded me of a breakfast bread I enjoyed in Stockholm a few years ago. It was a large loaf with a lot of dried fruit in it – almost translucent when sliced, and really delicious. I haven’t had much success in finding a recipe – can you help? You’re a lot nearer Stockholm than me… 😉

Thanks for the excellent videos. They’ve been a great help and encouragement on my sourdough journey.

    Cheers

Thank you for this delicious recipe! Does adding the walnut oil make a big difference in the flavour of the bread?

I don’t have walnut oil. What else can I use instead?

    Thank you!

Hi Sune, I’m looking forward to making this. It looks amazing!

Please note – the instructions in the recipe need reformatting, because a large portion of the text is not visible on the right side of the page. I copied the text and pasted it in a Word doc to see the full instructions.

OK, now I’m embarrassed. I just saw the message where I’m supposed to click to see the expanded version. I missed that before. Please delete my prior comment.

I love this recipe. The last time I baked it I used the water I soaked the cranberries in and substituted the walnuts with pecans. The results was absolutely heavenly.

Simply amazing and I sat there and ate until I couldn’t anymore. lol. Question: Can I make it into just one large loaf in a large dutch oven? Thank you!

    • Absolutely. Just make sure to check the internal temperature. It needs to be 99C/210F to be done.

I baked this because my wife loves cranberry bread. It worked really well and we both decided I’d be baking it again.
I used almond oil because I had some of that, and added some walnut essence made by a good friend (from walnuts and alcohol). Otherwise, exactly as the recipe suggests. Definitely a 5 star recipe!
